  • While the food taste is very good, the quantity is quite less considering the high prices of about Rs 600 per dish - barely enough for two persons. Service is also quite slow and not up to the mark - we had ordered stew with extra appam as we wanted to share the stew. While it took quite a while to bring the stew, we literally had to wait for another 10 minutes for the extra appams. Valet parking available.

  • Tanatan Shivaji Park — Review Nestled opposite Sena Bhavan in Shivaji Park, Tanatan is a standout restaurant-bar in Mumbai’s Dadar area. The moment you walk in, the ambience captures you: bells, Indian motifs, and antique touches blend with modern lighting and tasteful decor to strike a balance between opulence and comfort. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a rooftop or outdoor area with cover, which is perfect in evenings. The food is mostly modern Indian with creative twists: great starters like Khow Suey Samosa, Beetroot Mozzarella Seekh, Zafrani Tangdi, and mains like Butter Chicken, Paneer Achaari, Dal Bukhara with Laccha Paratha etc. Desserts like Gulkand Cheesecake and Matka Rabri Gulab Jamun get very good feedback. The drinks/cocktails are also a highlight. Mocktails and signature cocktails—like “Tanatan Sangria”, “Sharabi Kawa”, “Mexican Nasha”—are well-reviewed and praised for presentation and flavour. Service and attention to guests are generally good: staff are helpful, polite, and often make suggestions; many reviewers say service is prompt. On ambience and music, Tanatan shines. Live music adds life in the evenings; lighting, interior decor, and the rustic-meets-luxury aesthetic create a lively, romantic, or celebratory mood depending on what you want. --- What Could Be Better The menu, while quality-oriented, has been criticized for limited vegetarian options compared to non-veg and even compared to competitors. Prices are on the higher side — many feel you're paying not just for food, but for ambience, music, décor. For some, the portion sizes vs price could be better.

  • We visited Tanatan , Shivaji Park on a Monday, and the place was Buzzing — completely packed! The ambience was stunning with royal décor, warm lighting, and a lively vibe. The Live Music made the experience very Soulful . We tried Banjara Murg Tikka, Bhuna Chaap, Butter Chicken, and Lucknowi Nihari — the Bhuna Chaap was absolutely yummy, and the Butter Chicken had that perfect classic taste. The Rajasthani Ghevar with Rabdi and the Killer Kit Kat freak shake were Heavenly. What we loved also was that there is a Couple of Photo Ops created where the lighting is thoughtful to give Insta Worthy Pics !!! Fantastic food, music, and service — totally worth it!! Will definitely come back again..

  • I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Tanatan, Dadar. The food, ambiance, and service were simply outstanding. The Peeli Mirch Ke Wings were bursting with flavors – spicy yet perfectly balanced, a true starter to awaken the taste buds. The Hyderabadi Haleem was rich, creamy, and authentic, giving a royal touch to the meal. The Kalanjui Murg Korma was a masterpiece – tender chicken in a luscious, aromatic gravy that paired beautifully with both Butter Garlic Naan and Butter Naan. To end on a sweet note, the traditional Rajasthani Ghevar was heavenly – crisp, juicy, and perfectly crafted. The interiors of the restaurant add to the royal charm with their elegant décor, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian delicacies with a modern twist.

  • From the moment we stepped in, the restaurant's interior was absolutely captivating. The design is clearly very aesthetic, creating a sophisticated, warm, and inviting atmosphere that significantly enhances the dining experience. The lighting was perfect, and The decor felt modern yet traditional. This is the perfect spot for a special occasion or a delightful evening out. The food was equally impressive, offering flavorful and well-presented Indian cuisine. Masala Papad: This simple favorite was elevated here. The presentation was very nice, showing great attention to detail right from the start. It was fresh and the perfect savory crunch to begin our meal. Palak Dahi Ke Kebab: A true standout dish! These kebabs were executed perfectly—soft, creamy, and meltingly tender on the inside, with a beautiful blend of spinach and yogurt. They were an absolute must-try. Main Course: The Chole was rich, hearty, and perfectly spiced, pairing beautifully with the breads. Garlic Naan: Fluffy, hot, and generously brushed with garlic, the naan complemented the chole wonderfully. Highly recommend.

  • Had a wonderful dining experience at Tanatan, Dadar! The place has a lively yet comfortable vibe, perfect for an evening out. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully presented and full of flavour, and the service was truly commendable. Appetizers: We began with the Palak Dahi ke Kebab — absolutely top-notch. They were beautifully cut in diagonal slices, topped with flavourful sauces that added a nice burst of freshness and spice. The Peeli Mirch ke Wings were another highlight — tender, juicy chicken wings served on a smoking grill. The six pieces came sizzling hot, perfectly marinated, and packed with flavour. Main Course: For the main course, we had the Babycorn Mushroom Tawa Masala paired with Garlic Naan. The curry was rich, well-balanced, and had a comforting homestyle taste with the right amount of spice. The Garlic Naan was soft, aromatic, and buttery, complementing the dish beautifully. Desserts & Drinks: We ended the meal on a sweet note with the Badaam Pista Phirni, which was creamy, mildly sweet, and full of nutty goodness — the perfect finish. The Virgin Mojitos were refreshing and well-balanced, adding a light, zesty touch to the evening. The Masala Papad we ordered on the side was crisp, spicy, and the perfect crunchy starter to get things going. A big thank you to Mantu for his excellent suggestions and warm, attentive service. He took the time to understand our preferences and recommended just the right dishes. His timing, presentation, and genuine hospitality made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Tanatan – Dadar is a place I’d highly recommend. From flavourful food and creative presentation to impeccable service and a vibrant ambiance, it’s the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back again soon.
